No matter how much heartache we have in our own lives, there’s always someone else who suffers worse than we do. The fact is, we live in an imperfect world that is corrupted by sin, and we will suffer the consequences until Jesus comes. There will be tears, pain, and heartache, but throughout our journey here on earth, we have a wonderful Lord and Savior who will walk the road with us. God doesn’t promise a perfect life without pain, but He does promise to be with us every step of the way. When our burdens are overwhelming and our hearts are heavy, we need not despair—just give our troubles to Jesus. Lay them at His feet—and leave them there! Then take the time to count our blessings, reflecting on all the wonderful things that God has done for us. It’s hard to be depressed when we think about our blessings! We need to pray and thank God for every precious gift, and don’t forget Calvary and His incredible gift of eternal life! When we get off our knees, we’ll feel refreshed and rejoice knowing just how much God loves us. Truly, we have much to praise Jesus for! Bible Text
Psalm 34:1-3 NKJV - A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.
1 Chronicles 16:34 NKJV - Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
James 1:17 NKJV - Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
Hebrews 12:28-29 NKJV - Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.
