No matter what crisis you’re facing, God is there, giving words of wisdom to guide, comfort, and encourage. Listen carefully, and you will hear His voice, gently guiding and directing your every step. Some think of God as this stern, ridged, powerful presence, but God is not like that at all. He loves us so much that He tenderly watches over us! He wants us to be with Him for all eternity and is definitely not gloating when we choose to sin and separate ourselves from Him! When God sees that we are falling, He tries even harder to save us! There are so many negative voices trying to drown out what God is saying to us, which is why the Bible tells us in Psalm 46:10 (NKJV), “Be still, and know that I am God.” We need to spend quiet time alone with Him in worship and Bible study so we can hear and obey His voice. God is tenderly calling to all His children, “This is the way, walk ye in it” (see Isaiah 30:21). All we need to do is stay close to our Best Friend, Jesus! Texts: Psalm 85:8, Jeremiah 31:3, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Kings 19:11-13
Bible Text
Psalm 85:8 NKJV - I will hear what God the LORD will speak, For He will speak peace To His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.
Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV - The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
2 Peter 3:9 NKJV - The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
1 Kings 19:11-13 NKJV - Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
