Our prayers are not always answered in the way we want them to be or as quickly as we expect. In fact, we may be tempted to think that God has completely forgotten us or question why He let something happen. Please understand this: God always answers prayer! For instance, a prayer for healing may happen instantly or it may not happen until the resurrection morning. It’s important to remember that God sees the big picture, and if we could see the end from the beginning, we would not want it any other way than God’s way, for His plan is always the best plan! When we believe in God, we gain a complete trust in Him. We see everything in a different light. Jesus wants us to have life and have it more abundantly! He does not wish for any to suffer or perish. But when sin entered this world, so did tears, pain, and suffering, and we will live with the results of sin until Jesus comes! Praise God for His gift of eternal life! When the trumpets shall sound and Christ comes in a blaze of glory, the sorrows of this earth will pass away, and there’ll be everlasting peace and happiness! The Bible tells us in Psalm 30:5 (NKJV), “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Oh how thrilling to be united with our Lord and Savior for all eternity—for there will be no more sorrow, sickness, or death, but each day will be more glorious than the day before.
