Christians talk a lot about faithfulness, but many times their actions don’t support it. When asked to participate at church, they may say yes, but when it comes right down to it, they’ll either not show up or find someone else to take their place. Promises are made but not kept. As long as they can justify it with a good excuse, there seems to be no remorse. If something better comes along, it’s all too easy to find a way to wiggle out of the commitment so they can do what they want.I’m so glad our God is faithful, and He always keeps His promises! He will never let you down—you can count on His Word. No need for an ironclad contract! God wants you to keep your promises. In fact, not doing so is dishonest, and there’ll be no dishonesty in Heaven. God’s children need to keep their hearts pure, clean, and white as snow! When you allow the Holy Spirit to dwell within you, there’s no room for lies or selfish desires. Invite Jesus to come into your heart and remember that He is counting on you . . . to stay honest, true, and faithful! Texts: 1 John 2:5, Numbers 23:19, Numbers 30:2, Psalm 89:34
