When the world seems to be crashing down all around you, and the devil has done his best to make you miserable, don’t give up! Instead . . . use God’s Holy Word as a sword against the enemy. It’s the most powerful weapon you can have! When you are at your weakest, remember that your strength comes from Jesus. Pick up your Bible and read Isaiah 40:29 (NKJV), “He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Keep reading, and in verse 31, He reassures us with, “But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Always remember that God is right there beside you, waiting to lift you up out of the darkness. You’re not fighting the battle alone! Although you might believe otherwise, just because you’re a Christian doesn’t mean you’re immune to enemy attacks. When you give your heart to Jesus, Satan will try even harder to knock you down, discourage you, and try to make you so miserable that you will yield to his temptations of sin. Don’t give the devil even one moment to smile. Stay faithful! Stay close to your Savior. God never promised sunshine every day, but He does promise to be with you through every storm! Texts: Psalm 32:7, Psalm 105:4, 2 Corinthians 12:9, Nehemiah 8:10
