Thank God I’m Alive

If you’re complaining because you don’t have the perfect life you always dreamed of - just STOP . . . and count your blessings! Make a list of all the things you’re unhappy about and then make a list of all your blessings. Without a doubt, your blessing list will be much longer! Don’t forget to list ALL your blessings, starting with the fact that you - woke up this morning! Yes, being alive is definitely a privilege that is denied to many. Just imagine all the young people who died too soon? Wouldn’t they count it a blessing to have kicked cancer and watch their children grow, or to have escaped an auto accident and graduate college, get married, have kids and enjoy living? Sometimes people can be so busy complaining about what they “don’t have,” that they fail to appreciate what they “do have”! Instead of hating your life - embrace it. Hatred never solves problems - it only creates them. Ask God to come into your heart and live a life that is pleasing to Him. You’ll find that you’ll no longer feel like a failure for not measuring up to your own expectations but you’ll feel loved, appreciated and cherished by someone who loves you more than anyone else ever could . . .
